John Prine (October 10, 1946 – April 7, 2020) was active as a composer, recording artist and live performer from the early 1970s until his death. Prine is known for humorous lyrics about life and love, as well as serious songs with social commentary and songs that recollect melancholy tales from his life. In 2020, he received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
This live music event brings local musicians together, with a shared passion for Prine’s songs, to pay homage to this unique talent by performing some of his best loved material, on what would have been his 75th birthday.
